Hi,
My name is Kara and I'm new to blogging, but I spent a good amount of my undergraduate career and a portion of the time where I would be described as a "recent graduate" writing for a weekly newsletter on US-Cuba policy at a fantastic NGO in the DC area. I have a dual degree in International Studies, with a focus on Peace and Conflict Resolution, and Spanish from American University. I'm not entirely sure about the direction this blog is going to take, but I love Latin America and I want to be part of the conversation.
This blog is dedicated in part to Mr. Brown, my 11th grade English teacher, who understood my particular brand of introversion and encouraged me to write even when I thought I had nothing to say.
